Alice Springs will be treated to a fresh dose of fine art from Friday 23 September, with the opening of Australian contemporary artist Adam Cullen's 'New Works' at Muk Muk Fine Art Gallery.
The Sydney born artist is known for taking the prestigious Archibald Prize in 2000 for his portrait of Australian actor David Wenham.
As one of Australia's most celebrated artists, Cullen's works has been shown extensively around the country as well as worldwide, featuring in many of Australia's major national institutions and private and public collections.
His works are known for raising eyebrows and polarising critics with his controversial willingness to tackle less than savoury subjects. His thought provoking style undoubtedly places him as one of the most fearless artists that Australia has produced.
The solo exhibition will run until Saturday 1 October at Muk Muk Fine Art Gallery, 14 Lindsay Ave, Eastside, Alice Springs.
